AISI 3415 is a nickel chromium case hardening steel which is suitable for deep hardening to develop a tough core is suitable for gears, cams rollers available in diameters only. Equivalent to 655M13/EN36
Heat treatment details carburise at 880 / 930°C.
Refine at 850/880°C cool either in air or water.
Harden at 760/780°C then quench in oil.
Temper in oil at temperature of 150/200°C this will alleviate stresses and the risks of cracking.

MAIN FEATURES AND MELTING PROCESS
The steels shall be manufactured by melting process EF, LF + EAF+ VD, IFF + ESR Melted. VIM + ESR can be handled by agreement.Forgings may be furnished in one of the following conditions: stress relieving; annealing; solution treatment; solution treatment and ageing; normalizing; normalizing and tempering; or quenching and tempering.
