Extremely strong, stiff, dimensionally stable plastic material often used in elevated temperature environments

PAI (polyamide-imide) is an extremely strong and stiff plastic material. It is often used in elevated temperature environments where other thermoplastics would lose their mechanical properties.

PAI is a very dimensionally stable material with an extremely low coefficient of thermal expansion (CTE) making it an excellent choice for applications that require machining to tight tolerances. It is available in a variety of formulations.

>Unfilled/Electrical Grade PAI– has extremely high dielectric strength and it is often used for applications where it functions as an electrical insulator.

>Bearing Grade PAI– can be used for demanding bearing applications that require extreme loads, speeds, and/or elevated temperatures.
